We began our senior design project at UC Irvine working under professor Abraham Lee, who was also our mentor on the project. With his help, our team Lacoustic, were able to set our sight on providing a microfluidic device to automatically target and sort cells by their sizes using a developed technology known as Lateral Cavity Acoustic Transducers (LCAT) and is controlled by a computer feedback mechanism.
